Right-click on the video and choose 'Record' (red circle icon) option, then play the video and VLC will start the recording. Interaction takes place in the actual media player. Load up a video file or other material for playback.Pause at the beginning where you want to record. Notes: You will know that the recording is in progress as the timer in player screen increments. This is the device you capture with OBS, so you have your own source just for that player, so you can adjust volume and add filters as you like. The only interaction is that you can make them restart at the beginning if they are activated (scene becomes active or you click the eye button of that source).įor better interaction you probably have to use an external media player app. The media sources within OBS are almost completely noninteractive.
