So far we’ve been able to piece costumes together with items that we already have around the house. ![]() It is simple to sew your very own cape and add this timeless piece to your wardrobe. Considering all of the “Alice talk” around our house this year from my Wonderland fabric lines, it seemed like the thing to do. Capes, ponchos, or wraps have long been a favorite style for chic classic looks. We have plans to hit the Halloween party dressed as characters from Alice in Wonderland. Right side of the cape should be touching the right side of the hood exterior, the lining facing up. Using all those arrows we marked, line up the hood to the neck of the cape. Now it’s time to bring the red riding hood cape together. Next week for Fall break we are headed to Disney World. Step 4 Attach red riding hood to the cape. I think that age group prefers to throw something together at the last minute, which I also think is kinda fun. This year my youngest are 15 and really not “in” to having Mom make them costumes. ![]() Leaving things to the last minute is a bad habit that I’ve been trying to break for years.
